What we've been up to...

Image
That's right!  We're packin' up and movin' out of this place.  It is a bitter-sweet thing, seeing how this apartment holds so many of our family memories - 3 years worth to be exact.  We moved in when Little Guy was just five days old (don't we choose the best times to move?  This time around I'm 8 months pregnant...) which means that all of his firsts took place here. It is a much needed move, however, as we have been bursting at the seams in this two bedroom apartment for some time now.  We are just moving across the street (quite literally) into a three bedroom townhouse.  I can't decide if I am more excited about the extra room or the big fenced yard out back!  Little Guy will be in heaven. Packing has been lots of fun!  Who wouldn't want a toddler who is ready and willing to unpack anything I pack just minutes after filling a box?  And let's not forget to mention the large belly bump that is determined to slow me down.  It has d...

Chipmunks, Giraffes and Hippos

Image
{pictures via flickr } I realized last night that I have a few things in common with chipmunks, giraffes and hippos. What are those things you ask? Allow me to elaborate. Chipmunk :: I officially have what some people call the "moon face" of pregnancy. My cheeks have filled out nicely and my face has gone from it's oblong shape into a perfect circle. I look like I am storing nuts in my cheeks for the winter. Giraffe :: Of the past 16 months, I have been pregnant for 13 of them. By the time this little man makes his big debut, it will have been a total of 14. Giraffe's have a gestation period of 14 months and even though I had a 3 month break in between, I still feel like I can relate a little. Hippo  :: All I can say about this one is that I occasionally hear Moto Moto in the background when I walk past my reflection and glance at my hind side. I have definitely packed some junk in the trunk this pregnancy, if ya know what I mean. I suppose if ther...

We Made It.

Image
Just an update on our attempted library trip ... We made it!  The very next day in fact.  Little Guy was beyond happy and has been requesting to read his books ever since we got home.   Seeing how everything ended up working out, I guess we'll forgive Columbus just this once.

Continue in patience...

I really do love these videos my church puts out every so often. This message is a perfect reminder to have patience through trials, have patience with others, and have patience for life in general.  As I look back at some of the trials I have had in my life I can't help but realize how much better I was able to handle those trials when I had patience as opposed to when I didn't. "God's promises are not always fulfilled as quickly or in the way we might hope...  Never give up ." Enjoy!

In love.
