38 Weeks (what?!?)

Jer and I were talking last night about how it seems like I have been pregnant forever. I suppose if we include the 5 1/2 months I was pregnant with Michael and add that to the 9 months I have been pregnant with this little guy, it's understandable. It is almost surreal to think we will actually have a baby at the end of this pregnancy. We are very anxious and excited over the whole ordeal.
Michael has been on my mind a lot these past few days. I have had a flood of emotions rush back as it was this time last year that we were meeting with specialists and trying to figure out what was wrong with our sweet boy. I have shed a few tears as I think about the pain we experienced during that time. I decided to finally compile all of the pictures from his burial and put it in a slideshow yesterday. That took a lot out of me, remembering the heartache that came along with burying our son. However, I was also reminded of how incredibly blessed we were through our trial. We recognize that it could have been much worse and we are just happy that our little Michael is now in a place waiting to see us again someday.
With just two weeks left in this pregnancy, I'm hoping we have everything ready! We will be having my entire family here for Thanksgiving (yay!), so I'm also hoping this little guy has made his big debut by then. Otherwise, everyone will have come to see my big belly instead of a cute bundle of joy. Not nearly as much fun. :)

your photo almost made me spit out my tea. too funny! your still so little so it looks just like a basketball tucked under your shirt.
